The National WII Museum is currently seeking a French Quarter Sales Agent. The Sales Agent reports to the Senior Director of Visitor Services and is responsible for selling tickets and specialty experiences while actively promoting Museum events at the Museum’s satellite location in the French Quarter. The Sales Agent provides information, recommendations, and directions to help visitors make the most of their time at the Museum and in the French Quarter. With a strong customer service focus, the Sales Agent processes transactions efficiently and always maintains a welcoming and engaging presence.
Requirements:- Sell tickets, tours, and specialty experiences to visitors.
- Open and close the site.
- Secure equipment.
- Work with sales team on sales strategies for sales at outpost.
- Provide directions and personalized recommendations.
- Use Galaxy to create ticket orders and process payments.
- Share relevant guest information with designated departments.
- Offer information to enhance the visitor experience.
- Stay updated on upsell opportunities, including specialty tours, events, and entertainment.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Senior Director of Visitor Services and Assistant Directors of Visitor Services.
- Provide a welcoming and positive experience for visitors.
- Available to work after hours during special events or busy periods.
- Report customer service, security, or safety issues to the appropriate departments.
Qualifications
- Experience balancing daily receipts and familiarity with ticket sales software programs.
- Experience working with the public, especially in sales.
- Positive attitude and enthusiastic demeanor.
- Comfortable working within a team, as well as for extended periods independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Initiative, organizational skills and good judgment.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work overtime during special events or heavy visitation periods. Weekend work required.
- Excellent knowledge of New Orleans and popular attractions.
