About the Family:
This active family in New Canaan is seeking a creative, energetic, and reliable nanny for their two children. The kids are independent, curious, and enjoy exploring new activities. The family values education, outdoor play, and creativity, and they are looking for a nanny who shares these priorities.
The 10-year-old boy is highly interested in animals, soccer, and problem-solving activities like building with Legos. His 8-year-old sister is social, artistic, and loves playing soccer and spending time with family and friends. Both children enjoy engaging in hands-on activities and are involved in sports and extracurriculars after school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick up kids from school and transport them to sports or other activities.
- Prepare snacks and dinner for the kids.
- Help with kids' laundry and light housekeeping (not the primary responsibility).
- Take the kids on outings and arrange playdates.
- Encourage outdoor play and engage the kids in fun, stimulating activities.
- Communicate regularly with parents about the children's schedule and needs.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of childcare or nanny experience.
- Strong swimmer (family has a pool and hot tub).
- Punctual, reliable, and a safe driver with a clean driving record.
- Ability to engage kids in creative and educational activities.
- Must be comfortable following a set schedule and being flexible when needed.
- Ability to foster independence in children while being nurturing and supportive.
