Position Summary :
The Basketball Operations Specialist will be a vital contributor to the WNBA League Operations Department, which encompasses Basketball Operations (on-court activities), Player Development (player appearances and programs), Basketball Administration (compliance and governance) and other specific league led initiatives. This position, reporting to the Vice President of Basketball Operations, requires a candidate with a demonstrated passion for women’s basketball, a track record of managing complex operational tasks, an ability to work cross-functionally, and an aptitude for building strong relationships across the women’s basketball ecosystem.
Major Responsibilities :
- Support the VP of Basketball Operations across an array of on-court matters, including basketball technology, game scheduling, team travel, referee logistics, game execution, and facilities oversight.
- Manage critical league basketball operations tasks, including but not limited to :
Composing and distributing annual team binders containing rule updates and compliance guidelines, as well as operations manuals, rulebooks, casebooks, signage, and equipment
