Patient Safety Assistant - Day Shift

Every colleague plays a key role in upholding this promise to our patients and their families.Shift:First Shift (United States of America)Patient AttendantA patient attendant focused on monitoring is responsible for observing and interacting with confused, violent, combative, or suicidal patients to prevent injury. They assist with basic patient care functions and notify nursing staff for immediate interventions when needed. They remain in the room at all times, except for breaks, and may also observe multiple patients via video monitoring. This role is crucial for ensuring patient safety, early detection of health issues, and timely medical intervention.Work Shift - Day Shift - 7:30am - 3:30pm Full Time and Part Time Shifts Available8-hour shifts Monday-Sunday.This position is self-scheduling offering varied days including Weekends and Holidays.Must be able to work at least 16 hours a week (2 days Monday – Sunday)*Required to float to our Bellevue Campus occasionally*Watch this video to learn more about the patient attendant role!Why Work at Nebraska Medicine?Together.
