The Neighborhood in Rio Rancho is looking for a dedicated Medical Records & Unit Coordinator to help maintain the integrity of resident health information and ensure a smooth, efficient, and safe facility operation.

Wages: $20.00 - $26.24 per hour

Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with occasional flexible hours as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion our mission, vision, and core values every day in all aspects of your role.
• Ensure the safe and accurate storage and retrieval of health information, following state and federal guidelines.
• Greet new residents, manage calls and faxes, and assist with appointments and transportation.
• Support safety initiatives, respond to call-lights, and work to maintain a safe environment.
• Manage and audit medical records, ensure HIPAA compliance, and monitor electronic medical record systems.
• Work closely with clinical teams to improve documentation quality, educate staff, and support Medicare compliance.
• Participate in audits, process improvement projects, and contribute to our mission-driven culture.
  
  

About You

• Previous experience in Medical Records or in a skilled nursing environment.
• Strong understanding of medical records management, laws & regulations; HIPAA regulations, and privacy compliance.
• Proficiency in electronic health records systems, diagnostic coding & medical terminology.
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for providing high-quality resident care, and team coordination.
• Proficient with electronic medical records systems (Point Click Care/Matrixcare)
