The Ness Center is seeking compassionate and dedicated Crisis Intervention Specialists to join our team. In this crucial role, you will provide community-based crisis intervention services to adults, and their families experiencing behavioral and emotional concerns. This position requires flexibility to work days, evenings, holidays, and weekends as part of our 24-hour crisis response team.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services within the community
- Offer peer counseling, information, and referrals on our crisis lines
- Complete all required agency and state forms
- Attend clinical and quarterly meetings
- Collaborate with supervisors on challenging cases and resource needs
- Represent the agency professionally in community education and collaborative relationships
- Participate in professional growth activities and mandatory agency training
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Life experience as a consumer of mental health services or addiction treatment
- Experience in crisis intervention
Preferred:
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
- Certified Recovery Support Services (CRSS) License
