Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in educating and guiding children through their early developmental stages, ensuring they acquire essential skills in literacy, math, and physical education while promoting social and emotional growth.
Low student to teacher ratio at 1:4, Daily pupil- free paid preparation time, paid vacations (Federal Holidays, 2 weeks winter, 1 week spring, 2 weeks summer)
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to the diverse needs of preschool-aged children.
- Manage classroom activities effectively, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
- Facilitate early intervention strategies to support children with varying developmental needs.
- Conduct assessments to monitor children's progress in literacy education, math, and physical education.
- Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to promote a collaborative educational experience.
- Organize and participate in daycare activities that encourage creativity, exploration, and social interaction.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior while adhering to standardized testing protocols when necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Background in Montessori Education preferred
- Proven experience in classroom management and curriculum development for preschool-aged children.
- Strong understanding of childcare principles, including early intervention techniques.
- Knowledge of literacy education methodologies and math concepts suitable for young learners.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A nurturing attitude with a passion for teaching and supporting children's growth.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid
