Job Title: Community School Liaison
Location: Lakewood (Jeffco) Campus
Salary: 35,000-39.000

Job Description: The primary role of the Family Liaison is to empower parents and students to become active participants and have success in their high school education journey. Family Liaison works directly with the school Principal and staff by serving as a resource contact for parents within their school community. Provides parents/students with a variety of information about programs, school requirements, resources, special events, and/or activities. Provides tutoring support to small groups of students as needed.
Essential Duties
- Administers program/activities to bridge the gap between home and school for the purpose of helping parents get information and support needed to ensure their students’ academic and social success in compliance with established guidelines.
- Connects students and families with resources.
- Facilitates positive parent, school, and student relationships.
- Communicates and refers parent/student needs with administration, school counseling, school social workers and teachers.
- Refers parents/students to other school personnel as appropriate.
- Works with students/parents to identify educational goals.
- Contacts local/outside of school resources for students/families.
- Implements a variety of programs to involve parents, students, and the community in school affairs.
- Participates in a variety of meetings, workshops, and committees for the purpose of conveying an/or gathering information required to perform functions and remaining knowledgeable with program guidelines.
- Reports suspected incidents to appropriate parties (e.g., physical, sexual and/or substance abuse, contagious diseases, etc.).
- Performs any other related duties as assigned by principal or other appropriate administrator.
Other Job duties:
The Family Liaison will run small group tutoring sessions with up to five students.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High School Diploma
- Bachelors Degree Preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Two years of relevant experience

Salary Range: $35,000-39,000
4 Day Work Week Monday-Thursday
166 Contract Days
