SUMMARY: Provide skillsets/knowledge to perform proactive/corrective maintenance on mill assets- primarily lubrication, hydraulics, etc. Secondary advanced knowledge of mechanical assets- pumps, conveyors, gear reducer, cylinders, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to maintain equipment through knowledge of lubrication requirements- contamination control, predictive sampling, inspection “best practices” and precision repairs to include laser shaft alignment, pulley alignment and tensioning, etc.
- Schedule, collect, and label samples with requisite details per agreed “best practices” as needed for analysis.
- Routine repairs to lubrication/hydraulic equipment- crane grapples, cylinders, hydraulic circuit controls such as directional or proportional valves, filtering, or centrifuge operation, etc.
- Update scheduling systems, including adding notes to system and requesting work orders for maintenance repairs and activities.
- Knowledge of mechanical repairs/replacements on rotating equipment-pumps, gear reducers, agitators, conveyors, piping systems, valves, and piping systems (to include welding), etc.
Qualifications
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 4 years’ experience or combination thereof:
- (AS) Associates of Science in Industrial Technology and 2 years practical experience (mechanical)
- 4 years practical experience (mechanical) in Industrial setting

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times.
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
- May be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles; vibrations.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- MLT Machinery Lubrication Technician Level 1 and/or Level 2
- Livingston & Haven Hydraulic Training
- Precision Maintenance Certification (mechanical) through Reliability Solutions or Hendrix Precision
