One to One Aide

Schedule: 8:45am-2:30pm

Weekly hours: 26.25 hours

Position Overview:

One to One Aide is responsible for the care and safety of the child as well as assisting the teacher in implementing the IEP goals for the assigned child. ABA and RBT experience a plus!

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience with children
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to work with children aged two through five
• Knowledge of childhood development
• Previous experience in special education classroom setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be capable of lifting a child weighing 45 pounds at least five times per day

Responsibilities

• Assist students with daily activities and academic tasks, ensuring individualized support based on their IEPs.
• Implement behavior management strategies and apply principles of applied behavior analysis.
• Foster a positive learning environment through effective classroom management and communication.
• Collaborate with teachers and specialists to adapt curriculum and instructional materials.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to support their development.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills in special education and childhood development.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.50 per hour
