Position Summary

SkillSpring Program Director, KY

The SkillSpring Program Director is responsible for developing and executing a strategic vision for a comprehensive career development program with a focus on young adults, while also serving paying customers in various sectors. This role encompasses program leadership, customer service, business development, and partnership management to ensure the program's success and alignment with organizational goals.

The Director will oversee curriculum development, team supervision, program budget management, and key relationships with strategic partners, educational institutions, and community organizations. The role requires a dynamic leader committed to fostering intergenerational collaboration, driving student and trainee success, and ensuring a high level of professionalism and engagement across program operations.

Responsibilities

  • Set the strategic vision and define measurable goals for the career development program.
  • Align SkillSpring goals with senior management and clinical leadership.
  • Represent SkillSpring at internal meetings, including Department Head and Management Retreats.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners in education, career development, and youth development fields.
  • Lead curriculum development for job readiness, certifications, internships, hiring processes, and alumni programming.
  • Ensure program alignment with best practices in intergenerational and workforce programming.
  • Supervise and coach SkillSpring team members, fostering professional development and succession planning.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and retention of trainees.
  • Build inter-division collaboration to enhance program outcomes.
  • Hire and manage program consultants as needed.
  • Facilitate professional development, clinical skills training, and healthcare career exploration curricula.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of program participants.
  • Assess student participation for continued enrollment and manage data tracking.
  • Provide case management services and referrals to address participant barriers to education and employment.
  • Oversee intergenerational mentorship programs, including events and data reporting.
  • Lead customer service activities and new business development, focusing on Kentucky skilled nursing facilities.
  • Develop partnerships with schools and community organizations to ensure enrollment and retention.
  • Collaborate with hiring organizations to create retention strategies for SkillSpring hires.
  • Explore additional funding opportunities through workforce boards and government programs.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director and Director of Finance on budget management.
  • Serve as the staff liaison for the SkillSpring Advisory Group, structuring agendas and preparing follow-ups.
  • Manage program outcomes, data tracking, and reporting for funders.
  • Facilitate online and in-person classrooms, including proctoring tests and preparing teaching materials.
  • Plan, organize, conduct, and evaluate clinical orientation curricula.
  • Develop and evaluate educational activities based on participant needs.
  • Maintain educational records and submit reports in a timely manner.
  • Participate in staff training sessions and special events.
  • Perform clerical tasks related to program administration as needed.
  • Work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and Saturdays across multiple sites.
  • Proven experience in program management, curriculum development, and workforce training.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills, with a focus on inter-division collaboration.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and business development abilities.
  • Expertise in building partnerships and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Knowledge of workforce programming, youth development, and healthcare training.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to train others in technology use.
  • Commitment to creating a diverse and culturally sensitive environment.

Contract Term

The contract term length is 12 Months with the potential for an extension.

Qualifications

Skills & Requirements

  • A Master’s Degree preferred
  • Five (5) years’ relevant work experience
  • Three (3) years of management and supervisory experience
  • Proven senior-level, project management skills
  • Experience with national grant-funded initiatives (i.e., NSF, DOL) including the development and writing of successful grant or competitive initiative proposals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Budget management skills
