What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Director of Strategic Finance and Analytics position at The New School?
The Senior Director, Strategic Finance and Analytics ("Senior Director") is an innovative, creative and consultative partner who works collaboratively across the university to support strategic planning, analysis, and decision support in a variety of administrative and academic areas including but not limited to strategic enrollment management and student success, program portfolio analysis and optimization, faculty affairs, market analysis, and operations. This position works closely with the Provost's Office and while the Senior Director reports directly to the CFO, this position also has a dotted-line report to the Vice Provost of Institutional Research and Decision Support.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, build and test integrated financial models for transaction decision related-projects or forecasting purposes for university stakeholders.
- Strategically analyze internal and external risks, as well as work with leaders from across campus to create financial models and support the decision-making process.
- In collaboration with Accounting Operations and Budgeting and Planning teams, develop pro forma financial analysis for administrative and academic units.
- Develop predictive models to support revenue and expense planning for near and long term strategy and operations.
- In collaboration with the Institutional Research and Decision Support team, ensure analysis and models related to student, program, faculty, and other academic areas are in-line with Institutional Research and Decision Support data definitions and best practices for data usage and access.
- Create and support the development of market research used to inform program and course development and redevelopment with the Office of Curriculum, Learning, and Academic Affairs.
