Kindergarten Assistant – The New Village School

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. This role involves working closely with young learners, assisting in their educational development, and ensuring a safe and engaging atmosphere for all students.

Duties

• Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a positive learning environment.
• Educate children on basic skills such as literacy, numeracy, and social interaction.
• Support the development of individualized education plans for children with special needs or disabilities.
• Facilitate toddler care and supervise children during playtime and structured activities.
• Participate in curriculum development to enhance learning experiences.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
• Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to lead teachers.

Requirements

• A background in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred.
• Experience in daycare settings or childcare environments is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to educate young learners using engaging methods tailored to their developmental stages.
• Knowledge of literacy education techniques to support reading readiness among toddlers.
• A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
