The New Work Project (www.thenewworkproject.com) is a distinctive workspace and meeting hub, housed in a beautifully transformed former foundry in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Spanning over 10,000 square feet, our space offers a premium alternative to mainstream options, featuring exceptional design, an intimate boutique atmosphere, a vibrant community, and a dedicated hospitality team.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a full-time, in-person Community Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Williamsburg location, reporting directly to the Chief of Staff.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain the workspace each day, ensuring cleanliness, aesthetic appeal, and adherence to house rules.
- Address member inquiries with professionalism and a service-oriented approach, reflecting our brand’s premium image.
- Foster a culture of interaction, collaboration, and creativity by engaging with members proactively and discreetly.
- Handle inquiries related to membership, day passes, conference room bookings, and venue rentals, and conduct tours as needed.
- Manage new member onboarding, track monthly billing and payments, and provide business reports to management.
- Oversee the ongoing service and maintenance of our workspace management system (Nexudus) and related integrations (e.g., Stripe), printing portal (Papercut), and IT infrastructure.
- Maintain and expand our internal e-marketing distribution list, and conduct direct sales outreach to potential leads.
- Lead e-marketing and social media efforts, including strategy development, content creation, platform management, community engagement, analytics, and campaign management.
- Promote and market the space for external private events and venue rentals, and coordinate the execution of such events as needed.
- Develop strategic partnerships with businesses that complement our brand.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Passion for hospitality, design, and the creative industries is essential
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Professional, enthusiastic, energetic, and personable demeanor
- Creative skills in marketing and social media
- Proactive problem-solving abilities with a strong sense of initiative
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and adapt swiftly
Salary : $45,000 - $55,000
