- Shampoos carpets
- Replaces light bulbs
- Handles snow removal
- Prepares maintenance reports and maintains inventory of bathroom and cleaning supplies
- Takes necessary action to safeguard the building during an emergency and escalates issues to appropriate personnel
- Communicates with Library Manager on a regular basis to determine branch needs
- Travels between branches within assigned network
- Will be assigned to two sites and may be assigned to work at other locations as neededRequired Education, Experience & SkillsRequired Education & Certifications
- High School Diploma or GED and prior basic custodial / building superintendent workRequired Skills
- Successfully demonstrated experience and knowledge of the standard practices, materials and equipment to be used in commercial building cleaning work.
- Knowledge of material safety data sheets, safety practices and procedures
- Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated flexibility and reliability
- Ability to perform manual work consisting of cleaning, heavy lifting, snow removal and working from high ladders, scaffolds and electrical lifts
- Heavy lifting may be required
- Performs related duties as required
- Valid driver's license and clear driving record
