Description
Overview Access Services is part of the Humanities and Social Sciences Research Division and is responsible for storing, locating, status updating, and delivering materials to the reading and study rooms in the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building. The Access Services team partners with the Research Collections and Preservation Consortium (ReCAP) in delivering materials stored in the Princeton storage facility to the research libraries. The Milstein 2 Research Stacks heralds a new way of managing research library inventory and the Access Services team is also responsible for ingesting, storing, and moving those research items to the requested location.
This position is integral to successful public service in the Stephen A Schwarzman as well as the other research centers. The Operations Manager manages the inventory operation for materials stored in the Milstein Research Stacks and in ReCAP. This includes supervising the daily activities of Access staff in successfully locating materials, updating their status, and delivery to the proper service desk for use.
