Job Overview
Responsible for generating new business revenue through year-round sales efforts of premium hospitality areas at NYRA tracks inclusive of seasonal packages, memberships, partial plan packages, suite rentals and group tickets.
Essential Functions
- Execute new business campaigns through multi-channel outreach, consultative sales meetings, presentations, site visits and diligent follow through.
- Utilize sales tools such as ZoomInfo to generate qualified premium seating leads via researching industries, companies, and referrals.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of unique sales strategies, ideas, and programs as a means of producing new business opportunities.
- Responsible for managing entire sales cycle from prospecting clients, closing the sale and continued service for upsell.
- Monitor and manage premium sales inventory for Saratoga Race Course and Belmont Park in accordance with established NYRA guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure the highest levels of guest satisfaction;
- Employ solution-based selling to maximize revenue generation by upselling existing customers and networking with new leads.
- Set face-to-face meetings with sales prospects, at on-site sales center, in venue and in the corporate community
- Attend company and community events to build network and support premium sales and promotional efforts
- Provide premium customer service in every touchpoint with clients.
- Participate and contribute to Premium Sales meetings and department wide Sales meetings.
- Foster positive, cooperative team culture by developing mutually beneficial working relationships with all team members, colleagues, and vendors.
- Achieve individual and department sales goals as set by Senior Director, Ticket Sales and Operations.
- Work alongside Managers to manage ticket inventory, pricing and data to ensure proper inventory alignment and sales forecasting.
- Analyze industry trends and offerings to inform recommendations to remain competitive in the Premium Sales & Hospitality landscape.

Experience: 4 years of sales experience in sports/entertainment and/or thoroughbred racing.
Other Requirements
- Excellent oral, written communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient computer skills including experience with (Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook) as well as the ability to learn and master new software programs including NYRA’s CRM and ticketing system.
- Ability to function in fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects and adhere to deadlines.
- Driver’s license, ability to travel to Saratoga in the Summer. Available to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings and weekends.
