Job Description
The Magazine is looking for an experienced senior editor to help lead the Times’s new “Ideas” project. This editor will be responsible for assigning, editing, top editing, and curating explanatory and ideas-driven journalism from writers all around the newsroom.
Responsibilities :
- Program a weekly ideas essay from various desks and writers throughout the newsroom.
- Develop relationships with desks to help cultivate essays on the big questions and lines of thought dominating the news.
- Work with art directors and audience editors to appropriately package and frame the essays to reach a wide readership.

The annual base pay salary for this role is between $120,000.00 and $140,000.00.
