What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Student Success Center position at The Newman School?
The Newman School is seeking a Director for the Student Success Center. The Director reports directly to the Assistant Head of School and is the leader of an educational department.
The director oversees the entire academic support structure for students with diagnosed learning and/or developmental challenges, communicates frequently with families,
and works very closely with the Director of Counseling for students experiencing mental health challenges.
The students in the Student Success Center receive 1:1 sessions, small group work, and general drop in support for the entire student body.
The successful candidate will be a passionate educator who is committed to the mission of Newman and displays a sensitivity to and understanding of students with diverse learning styles. The Director of the Student Success Center will foster a positive, structured, and caring environment, while also adhering to the goals of the International Baccalaureate - to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
