Human Resources Specialist
Worksite Location: Hood River
Work Schedule: Full-Time; 40 hours per week; Monday - Friday; 8 am – 5 pm
Wage Range: $26.35 - $29.84 per hour
Differential Pay: $0.50 per hour worked
Reports to: Human Resources Manager

Who are we looking for?
The Human Resources Specialist contributes to TNDI’s mission by participating in the achievement of key HR initiatives aimed at ensuring workplace compliance, successful team member performance, effective recruitment and retention, workplace compliance, employee engagement, and more.
What you will do…
- Contribute to creating and adjusting competitive compensation and benefits plans according to the strategic plan and budget.
- Stay informed about changes in labor and employment law, interpret potential impacts for the agency.
- Administration of leaves of absence and accommodations.
- Update job descriptions and other HR documents.
- Ensure personnel files are up to date.
- Work with the Leaders to develop HR policies collaboratively.
- Take on special projects as assigned.
- Maintain updated knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law.
Education, Experience, and Requirements…
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or relatable experience
- Valid driver’s license with auto liability insurance
- 3 years of progressive experience in human resources
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background check
- Bilingual – English and Spanish
