Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, fostering their growth and development through engaging activities. This role involves working with preschool-aged children, implementing educational programs, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that encourage learning through play and exploration.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting positive interactions among students.
- Provide care for toddlers, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
- Educate students on essential life skills, including personal hygiene and social etiquette.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss children's progress and address any concerns.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Work with children with disabilities, adapting activities to meet their individual needs.
- Conduct regular assessments of student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Stay current with best practices in early childhood education through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in child care or education settings, particularly with preschool-aged children.
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support children's emotional development.
- Experience working with students who have disabilities is highly desirable.
- First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Ability to provide nurturing care while educating children in a fun and engaging manner.
- Previous experience in nannying or caregiving roles is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
