Job Summary
The Digital Marketing Manager will lead the charge in expanding The Next Step Programs’ digital presence. This role is responsible for strategy and execution across all digital platforms—social media, email, website, and digital campaigns. You’ll tell the stories of our participants, build our online community, support fundraising efforts, and help us reach more families and supporters through creative, values-driven content.
This position reports to the Executive Director and works closely with staff across programs and administration. It’s an exciting opportunity for someone who loves digital storytelling, community-building, and purpose-driven communication!
Responsibilities:
Content Strategy & Social Media
- Develop and manage daily content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Create engaging posts, graphics, stories, and videos that reflect our brand and mission
- Capture and curate content from programs, events, and the TNS community
- Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and grow online community
- Analyze performance and adapt strategy to optimize reach and impact
Email & Website Management
- Design and send regular email newsletters, event promotions, and campaign blasts
- Maintain and update website content via Squarespace or WordPress
- Implement SEO best practices and track website performance
- Monitor campaign metrics and share regular performance insights with the team
Campaigns & Promotions
- Plan and execute digital campaigns for key initiatives (Giving Tuesday, Employment Awareness Month, Annual Gala, etc.)
- Promote events and programs through multi-channel digital strategies
- Coordinate Meta or Google ad campaigns as needed
- Support storytelling around fundraising, participant achievements, and donor engagement
Branding & Creative Support
- Ensure consistent brand voice, visual identity, and messaging across all channels
- Create branded templates and materials (flyers, event graphics, etc.) in Canva or Adobe Suite
- Support other teams with digital materials as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in digital marketing with a focus on advertising, content creation, and analytics.
- Proficiency in Google Ads and other online advertising platforms.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
- Experience with email marketing tools and social media management platforms.
- Familiarity with SQL is a plus for data analysis purposes.
- Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to create engaging content tailored to various audiences.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using analytics tools to measure campaign effectiveness.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay: $54,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
