Position Overview
We are seeking a Fulfillment and Warehouse Manager to oversee and optimize our fulfillment operations, inventory management, and shipping processes. More than just a logistics role, this position requires a strategic thinker and problem solver who will operate intuitively as David Viergutz’s right-hand person, taking ownership of the company’s physical operations and implementing key business strategies.
This individual will work closely with David to execute high-level decisions, refine operational workflows, and ensure efficiency in fulfillment and warehouse management. The ideal candidate is self-driven, adaptable, and capable of anticipating needs before they arise, making proactive decisions that drive business growth.
Additionally, this role involves leveraging social media to showcase fulfillment processes, giving readers and customers a behind-the-scenes look at the brand’s unique packaging and shipping experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Operations & Business Execution
- Act as David’s primary operational partner, helping to implement company strategies within fulfillment and warehouse operations.
- Independently identify inefficiencies and propose solutions to improve speed, accuracy, and scalability in order fulfillment.
- Assist in evaluating new business opportunities, product launches, and operational shifts to align with company goals.
- Develop and execute SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for all fulfillment and warehouse functions.
Fulfillment & Logistics Management
- Oversee all fulfillment operations, ensuring timely and accurate order preparation, packaging, and dispatch.
- Continuously improve fulfillment processes, leveraging data and best practices to optimize workflow.
- Coordinate with carriers and shipping services to guarantee on-time deliveries and minimize shipping issues.
Inventory Control & Warehouse Operations
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, conducting audits and tracking stock movement to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Ensure all warehouse equipment is maintained and operational.
- Implement best practices for inventory management and loss prevention.
Leadership & Team Management
- Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse staff, delegating tasks and holding team members accountable.
- Foster a culture of responsibility and continuous improvement, ensuring team members uphold high standards.
- Set performance goals and track productivity, optimizing team efficiency.
Social Media & Brand Support
- Capture and share behind-the-scenes content related to order fulfillment and product packaging.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create content that enhances brand engagement.
- Ensure social media content aligns with brand storytelling and customer experience initiatives.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in a warehouse, fulfillment, logistics, or e-commerce environment, with at least 1 year in a leadership or management role.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to operate intuitively and anticipate needs, acting as a trusted right-hand person in decision-making.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with inventory management systems, shipping platforms, and basic social media content creation.
- Leadership: Strong ability to lead, train, and motivate a team while optimizing operational processes.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive mindset with the ability to handle fulfillment challenges efficiently.
- Physical Ability: Able to lift and move items up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Transportation: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional shipment drop-offs.
