JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY: The Due Diligence Analyst provides the essential research function to underwrite the acquisition of loans; including loan document analysis, asset valuation, workout modeling, and risk identification.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform analysis on loan relationships being considered for acquisition.
- Thoroughly review borrower loan files to understand all relevant facets of a borrower’s obligation to the lender.
- Evaluate commercial and residential real estate to determine as-is value and stabilized value.
- Conduct phone calls with real estate Brokers to gain knowledge of local market conditions and nuanced pricing and property information.
- Review collateral title reports to identify and understand ownership structure, lien priority, and additional creditors.
- Evaluate borrower financial documents, including tax returns and personal financial statements, to project future financial outcomes.
- Determine likely workout scenario, with financial modeling, and propose resolution strategies for supervisor review and approval.
- Propose loan level acquisition pricing for management review.
- Write overview descriptions to support scenario modeling and acquisition proposals.
- Collaborate with Loan Workout and Loan Servicing teams to integrate new acquisitions to The Noble Group’s operating system.
- Assist Due Diligence Supervisor in evaluating new loan offerings.
- All other duties as assigned by the Due Diligence Supervisor.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Is detail-oriented and can perform duties with a high degree of accuracy.
- Has a high degree of integrity and the ability to work with sensitive information.
- Is able to work with others in a positive, professional manner.
- Has time management skills to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Possesses computer skills to work with various software, including but not limited to: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to conduct competent due diligence analysis, including loan document review, real estate valuation, and title research.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- BS in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related field.
- At least 2 years experience in loan underwriting preferred.
- Valid PA driver’s license required.
- Loan workout experience preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- The duties of this job take place in a typical office environment; the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate; there is the presence of office equipment noise.
