Summary of Position:
Responsible for implementing and developing Superintendent skills and incorporating them into Laborer OR Carpenter-specific requirements. The SIT position aims to create a structured career path to become a qualified Concrete Superintendent for qualified field employees within NCI.
Education/Experience Requirements:
Qualified applicants will possess the following:
- Concrete carpentry experience (REQUIRED)
- Possess leadership qualities to promote a professional atmosphere for not only other company employees but will act as the daily, on-site point of contact with General Contractors, and as required, Project Managers, Engineers, Architects, and Owners.
- OSHA 10
- Current and Valid Driver’s License (REQUIRED)

Expectations and Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of supervisory and managerial functions throughout multiple phases, under the direction of the job-specific Superintendent, to ensure beneficial and quality-oriented development.

Terms and Requirements of SIT Position
All applicants will be initially evaluated within Phase 1. Individuals can “test out” of Phase one, but they must be able to display the ability to execute a majority of the stated skills.
SIT position will rotate Superintendents every 3 months.
- Only Superintendents with a current SIT will be involved in the rotation.
- The ability level of an SIT may differ.
- At the conclusion of each 3-month period, the Superintendent will complete an SIT evaluation form for the employee’s appropriate phase.
- At the conclusion of each 3-month period, SIT will come into the office for a day of admin training.
- At the conclusion of each 3-month period, the current Superintendent will have a handoff meeting with the next
Superintendent to discuss employee strengths and areas of needed improvement.
SIT will be evaluated every 3 months. Potential compensation increases every 6 months (based on a minimum of (2) quarterly evaluations). To graduate phases, an SIT must score a 2.5 or above on every skill set within said phase.
Process and Terms of Elimination
Applicants not demonstrating progress, as stated by quarterly evaluations, will be eliminated from the SIT program and return to LII, LIII, CI, CII, or CIII position and applicable wage scale.
Salary : $25 - $39
