Job Summary :
Oconee Street United Methodist Church seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to serve as Youth and Young Adult Coordinator. This position involves nurturing our youth and young adults’ spiritual growth and community engagement through thoughtful programming, relationship building, and leadership. The role is part-time, requiring between 32-40 hours per month.
Responsibilities :
Youth Group (Middle and High School) Responsibilities :
- Plan and lead a weekly Youth Group program on Sundays (excluding 1st Sundays).
- Maintain regular and effective communication with parents about activities and events.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new or visiting families with youth-aged children.
- Actively engage in regular meetings focused on youth education and participate in efforts to review and assess the overall structure of youth programs.
- Attend Sunday morning services a minimum of twice a month.
- Develop and lead an annual Confirmation program.
- Coordinate a graduation recognition ceremony for youth during a church service in May.
Young Adult Group (Ages ~18-26) Responsibilities :
