JOB OVERVIEW: Assumes the responsibility for on shift supervision of the Security & Valet Services departments, to include the security and safety at Medical Center, clinics, offsite buildings, properties and grounds. Oversees the Security & Valet Services for visitors, staff, patients, medical office staff and Physicians. Has overall responsibility for individual respective shifts and coordinates actions of all shifts.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Responsibilities & Competencies:
- Manages the Environment of Care Security Management Plan
- Ensures compliance with all appropriate regulatory and accreditation bodies.
- Meets with all interested individuals regarding security related functions at Valley Medical Center.
- Provides basic security information, statistical database and other related security information to requesting entities.
- Manages contracted Valet Services
- Attends employee- related functions on behalf of Security Department.
- Attends monthly Safety and Emergency Management and other related committees.
- Coordinates security issues with City, State and Federal law enforcement agencies.
- Coordinates crime prevention program for hospital, offsite buildings, clinics and medical office buildings.
- Conducts internal investigations, both overt and covertly as needed.
- Supervises personnel related issues within the Security Department.
- Conducts orientations as necessary.
- Ensures appropriate staffing coverage, training and productivity levels of Security Officers.
- Administers personnel procedures for all Security Officers to include, but not limited to:
- Appropriate HR actions forms
- Sick leave, vacation
- Holidays
- 24-hour coverage of Valley Medical Center, Clinics, Off site buildings, Medical Office Buildings and properties
- Counseling
- Assists with developing annual budget for capital equipment.
- Develops annual budget for operating expenses.
- Assists with developing and maintaining security systems, card access, and infant abduction systems.
- Ensure the appropriate staffing coverage, training, and productivity levels of the Security Department.
- Supervises contract Security staff as needed.
- Coordinates the activities of all Security staff to meet customer and project need utilizing resource management tools.
- Works with staff to ensure that proper resources are used to meet customer needs.
- Participates in policy and program decisions affecting Security, by reviewing departmental policies and procedures annually and revising as necessary to reflect current needs.
- Ensures that all Security staff are aware of and understand Departmental and TNG policies and procedures.
- Works with all areas to provide support with security needs for improved methods, techniques and better utilization of resources through liaison with end-users.
- Ensures that project support organizational goals.
- Ensures that staff is following departmental procedures so that quality and customer service standards are met.
- Revise procedures as necessary to support service and quality goals.
- Monitors service indicators address problems and coordinates appropriate follow-up. Provides leadership, direction, problem resolution and team support for projects that result in successful completion.
- Perform project analysis work to include; cost/benefit analysis, development of work plans, task lists, including detailed work plans with estimated work effort and target dates.
- Follows departmental policies related to security and confidential information.
- Keeps Director and CSO informed of work status and problems related to security.
- All other duties as assigned.
