Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our facilities team. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our schools.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cleaning duties, including dry/wet mopping floors, vacuuming/shampooing carpets, and sanitizing bathrooms and locker rooms
- Dusting, emptying wastebaskets, washing windows, and cleaning spills
- Stripping/waxing/sealing tile and VCT flooring, and performing winter maintenance functions such as snow removal and sanding/salting
- Collaborate with other custodians, day lead, teachers, and building personnel to maintain a clean and safe school facility
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Basic custodial experience
- Ability to use various types of cleaning products and equipment, both powered and non-powered
- Ability to meet the requirements of the essential functions of the position
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
