Maintenance Repair Worker
A large not for profit organization in Newark is seeking a full time, experienced maintenance staff member responsible for multiple sites which provides daily and emergency janitorial, maintenance and repair work.
Key responsibilities include:
· Ensuring that the properties are kept in top condition at all times;
· Address general maintenance and repairs improvements
· Operating machinery, equipment and supporting systems at all commercial and residential properties
· Repair projects including identifying the needs of the properties: Plumbing, and Painting
· General Building Floor Care: (dust/wet mopping/ stripping and waxing)
· Gardening- Planting , weeding and leaf removal
· Snow Removal shoveling and salting
· Providing response in emergencies as needed;

Background and experience
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role with a good work history ;
· Possess plumbing, carpentry, and electrical skills/experience;
· Ability to lift up to 50lbs;
· Mechanically inclined, highly organized and detail oriented;
· Reliable, courteous, friendly, hardworking and professional;
· Must be available to assist in after-hours emergency situations;
· Must be available to work various hours.
