Resident Experience Specialist Job Summary

This field-based position provides direct support to communities, ensuring Northbridge's resident engagement and memory care standards are consistently met. The Specialist will lead both new and ongoing initiatives, guiding communities to create and deliver personalized resident experiences that cater to individual interests while fostering an active, enriching lifestyle. As an advisor, the Specialist will collaborate closely with the Vice President of Resident Engagement and Memory Care Services and community leadership to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions that elevate the overall resident experience.

This position will require extensive travel throughout our New England communities.

Responsibilities :

  • Onboard new Avita and Engagement Directors and team members, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary tools, training, and knowledge to meet Northbridge standards for quality assurance.
  • Monitor monthly calendars to ensure compliance with Northbridge engagement standards.
  • Support communities in creating timely and engaging digital signage, newsletters, and monthly event calendars.
  • Collaborate on the development and rollout of new initiatives to enhance resident engagement and care.
  • Regularly monitor associate documentation, including Special Care Residence Reviews, communication logbooks, hourly checks, and task sheets.
  • Identify opportunities to promote community outreach and drive census growth.
  • Perform all other duties as required and aligned with the qualifications of the position, as directed by the Executive Director and Vice President of Engagement and Memory Care Services.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience related to the aging process and / or disability issues.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in either memory care or assisted living engagement.
  • Training and expertise in recreational engagement for older adults.
  • In-depth knowledge and training of memory impairments.
  • Demonstrated ability, through experience and education, to develop engaging programs tailored to older adults, both with and without memory impairments.
  • Prior leadership experience in a senior living environment, specifically in roles such as Director of Assisted Living Engagement and / or Memory Care Services.
