About the role:
The Nuclear Company is at the forefront of nuclear energy innovation, dedicated to providing cutting-edge solutions for a sustainable future. We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Sr. Business Development Analyst to join our Partnerships & Consortium department. In this role, you will be responsible for in-depth diligence, business intelligence, and strategic research and analysis on potential partners and consortium members who align with our strategic objectives and can contribute to our growth and innovation. This foundational research will be the basis for initiating relationships and shaping critical partnership discussions with key potential partners and consortium members.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research to identify potential partners and consortium members within the nuclear energy sector and related industries.
- Develop proactive outreach strategies to engage potential partners/members.
- Generate qualified leads by understanding the potential partner's/member's business, identifying their needs, and aligning them with The Nuclear Company's value propositions.
- Schedule and participate in introductory meetings and presentation development to articulate the benefits of partnering with or joining a consortium led by The Nuclear Company.
- Collaborate closely with the Account Management team and other internal stakeholders to develop compelling partnership proposals and consortium frameworks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all business development activities and lead progress in our CRM system.
- Achieve and exceed targets for qualified leads, meetings scheduled, and new partnership/consortium opportunities generated.
- Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the nuclear energy landscape.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to identify and engage potential partners/members.
- Provide regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and potential opportunities to the Partnerships & Consortium leadership.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of our business development strategies and processes.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree, in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a business intelligence/analysis role, preferably within the energy sector, large infrastructure, or a technically focused industry.
- Strong research and analytical skills to identify and qualify potential partners/members.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Brings a strategic mindset, positive outlook, desire to learn, critical thinking, resourcefulness, and a drive to achieve optimization through iteration to work tasks.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a strong drive to succeed.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Comfortable working in a start-up environment which is fast-paced and evolving.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Valued but not required:
- Proven ability to identify and generate new business opportunities.
- Experience in the nuclear energy sector, utilities, and government financing.
- International experience.
- Graduate degree in a relevant field.

Estimated Starting Salary Range:
The estimated starting salary range for this role is $118,000 - $140,000 annually less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a semi-monthly basis. The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company's discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure, skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role.
