Nugent Sand Company is currently looking for a full-time Sales Representative to join our team supporting the Midwest Territory! Our Sales Representative is a self-motivated, competitive, results-driven, proactive, experienced sales professional who has a passion for sales and enjoys building and fostering client relationships. What You'll Do:
Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Sales Representative will get to lead and work alongside an experienced and professional team of expert leaders in quality, maintenance, engineering, safety, business management and procurement to manage key accounts and develop new relationships in the many industries we serve including, but not limited to metalcasting, energy, building products, glass, and recreation to drive the growth and success of Nugent Sand Company in our midwest territory. Additionally, the Sales Representative will get to:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to acquire new accounts and grow existing accounts to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in the midwest territory.
- Identify and prospect new business opportunities to grow the customer base by utilizing existing relationships, networking, sales calls, marketing/advertising, and collaboration with Nugent's sales team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Be a resource to clients for troubleshooting problems with sand or general issues.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns that effectively showcase our products and services.
- Provide product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients to highlight the benefits and features of our offerings.
- Manage lab and production trials with prospective clients.
- Negotiate new contracts and agreements with clients or contract renewals to secure profitable deals for the company.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to make informed decisions and stay ahead of the competition.
- Gather and report significant developments within accounts, prospects, competitors and the general market for use by company management in research, analysis and for planning purposes.
- Use the philosophy and techniques of continuous improvement to improve the sales process, customer experience, eliminate waste, decrease costs, and improve results and gain other efficiencies.
- Participate in the strategic plan development with Senior Management.
- Be an active member in the national and local American Foundry Society
Our ideal candidate will have/be:
- Located in the Midwest.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Material Science, Engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Have 1 to 10 years of proven experience in sales or account management within the foundry or mining industry including experience with ferrous foundries.
- Strong track record in business development and sales growth.
- Persuasive communication and negotiation skills.
- Superior written and verbal presentation skills for large and small audiences and the ability to adjust communication style as needed for executive level, mid-level management, technical and non-technical users.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of foundry or mining processes and products.
- Intellectual curiosity and a high level of enthusiasm for the business with a strong desire to learn, grow, advance and meet high performance goals for oneself.
- Proficiency in Microsoft product suite.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events both domestically and internationally.
- Current unencumbered Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to pass a post offer, pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background check.
