Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Afternoon Infant / Waddler Preschool Teacher to join our Montessori educational team. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children. The Afternoon Infant / Waddler Preschool Teacher will be responsible for implementing engaging lesson plans that promote literacy, creativity, and critical thinking.
Responsibilities
- Implement age-appropriate afternoon lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all students.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social and emotional growth.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress in various developmental areas.
- Facilitate activities that promote literacy education, including storytelling, reading sessions, and interactive games.
- Communicate effectively with the Lead Infant / Waddler Teacher regarding the children's development and classroom activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom space conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
Requirements
- Experience working with students in a preschool or daycare setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
- Familiarity with lesson planning techniques tailored for preschool-aged children.
- Experience in Infant / Waddler care is a plus.
- Knowledge of literacy education strategies to support early reading skills.
- Ability to create engaging classroom activities that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A background in Montessori Education or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
