AECI 1 Middle School is a new charter school opening in September 2025 with its inaugural 6th grade cohort. Our middle school is an expansion of our high school, AECI 1 Charter High School, which has a graduation rate of over 95% year over year. AECI Middle School is dedicated to fostering a community of academic excellence, innovation, and personal growth. Our mission is to provide a supportive and challenging learning environment that prepares students to explore the skills, knowledge, and practical experiences leading to college and a career focused in the architecture, engineering and construction industries.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Youth Advisor to join our founding team and play a pivotal role in shaping the culture, climate, and student experience at our new middle school. This individual will serve as a mentor, advocate, and guide for students, fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where all learners can thrive both academically and socially.
The ideal candidate is committed to social-emotional development, building strong relationships with students, and implementing strategies that support their well-being, self-regulation, and personal growth. They will work proactively to create a positive school culture by modeling and reinforcing core values, supporting conflict resolution, and providing interventions that help students navigate challenges.
Additionally, this role includes collaborating with teachers, families, and school leadership to ensure students are engaged, supported, and accountable in their academic and personal development. The Youth Advisor will oversee student behavior expectations, facilitate restorative conversations, and implement programs that empower students to take ownership of their learning and community responsibilities. This is a unique opportunity for a compassionate and solutions-oriented individual to help build a strong foundation for student success in our inaugural year and beyond.
