Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Plant Controller to oversee all financial aspects of our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with accounting principles. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and the ability to implement effective cash management strategies. The Plant Controller will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of the plant while supporting operational efficiency. This Plant Controller position is located in Tallahassee, Florida. We do offer a reloaction package.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger reconciliation and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Manage payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for all employees.
• Maintain records of debits and credits, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
• Utilize accounting software such as , QuickBooks, or for financial management.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between budgeted and actual performance.
• Implement effective cash management practices to optimize cash flow.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational decision-making.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger reconciliation, payroll processing, and double entry bookkeeping.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as , QuickBooks, or .
• Familiarity with GAAP principles and financial concepts.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
