Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to oversee our financial operations to our manufacturing plant and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, experience with financial software, and a thorough understanding of budgeting and financial management. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, cost accounting, auditing and ensuring compliance with governmental accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the accounting department, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure accurate double-entry bookkeeping practices are followed.
- Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Provide technical accounting guidance and support to staff as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that drive business decisions.
- Monitor compliance with governmental accounting regulations and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5 years of manufactuirng experience
- Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar role within accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with governmental accounting is a plus.
- Excellent budgeting skills and experience in financial management.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively convey financial information.
