Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Plant Controller to oversee financial operations within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing cash flow, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires a strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to support operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Oversee cash management processes to ensure liquidity and effective use of funds.
- Perform general ledger reconciliation and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Hands-on plant floor experience working directly with plant manager
- Supervise payroll processing and ensure accuracy in employee compensation.
- Handle accounts receivable functions, including invoicing and collections.
- Collaborate with management to develop financial strategies that support business objectives.
- Provide insights on financial performance and recommend improvements as necessary.
- Assist in the implementation of financial software systems, including QuickBooks and other accounting tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in corporate accounting or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other financial software applications.
- Strong knowledge of cash management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with general ledger reconciliation processes.
- Understanding of automotive manufacturing experience is a must
- Ability to manage payroll functions accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in debits and credits management.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
