The Chief Academic and Student Support Officer provides strategic leadership in educational and student services including academic matters, curriculum design, instructional methods, and vertical articulation. This role requires a commitment to educational equity, innovation, and supporting alternative learning environments to ensure equitable access to high-quality education and comprehensive support for all students. The incumbent promotes and maintains a positive, inclusive, and student-centered culture that supports both academic achievement and social-emotional well-being. The Chief Academic and Student Support Officer exercises considerable independent judgment and is in a position of trust and confidence as a member of the Superintendent's Executive Cabinet. Required Qualifications:
Degree from an accredited college or university in education, special education, or educational administration
Experience as a school principal or director
Minimum five years of increasingly responsible supervisory and management experience in public school district or public charter school organization
Possession of a valid California Administrative Credential or Pupil Personnel Services Credential
Possession of a valid California Clear Teaching or Pupil Personnel Services Credential
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong skill set in educational leadership with supervisory experience overseeing school site leaders, special education, data, accountability, and/or other areas of student support
District level administrative or charter school director level experience
