The Opportunity: Bar Back

The Oaks Club is very seasonal with high demand from the months of October through May with over 2 million in Food and Beverage Revenues.
The Bar Back ensures the bar runs smoothly for the Mixologist team. The Bar Back may also assist in set up for work banquet bars. In addition, the essential tasks include:
- Keeping the bar stocked with liquor, syrups, glasses, napkins and all other necessary items before and during service hours
- Prepare garnishes, refill ice wells, restock napkins and straws.
- Clean up the spills, remove the glassware and organize
- Keep the bar area neat and clean
- Coordinate with managers and kitchen staff ensure things are running smoothly.
- Handle emergency situations, such as cleaning up broken glass or other spills.
Candidate qualifications:
Ideal candidates should have 1-2 years of experience in private clubs or hospitality venues with a strong food and beverage background. Strong knowledge of liquor, beer, wine, and food and service techniques of all. The candidate must be available to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Candidates require a polished, professional manner and enthusiasm for the private club environment, possess excellent communication skills.
Exceptional customer orientation and the ability to work with others. Knowledge of Jonas POS is a plus.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
This role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and be able to stand or walk up to four to eight hours at a time.
