Banquet Captain/Assistant Bar Manager
The main focus of the Banquet Captain/Assistant Bar Manager is to ensure that every event held at The Oaks Golf Course is executed to our high standards. Ensuring the needs of our clients and their guests are met with an understanding of their goals, a knowledge of their event & a pleasant attitude. Working under the Food & Beverage Director, you will be responsible for helping with weddings, retirement parties, holiday parties and other such events in our clubhouse and event center. You will hold our employees to extremely high standards for each event, and work with our F&B Director to put new training into place.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing hours of F&B staff
- Assist in managing POS software
- Manage opening/closing and event checklists
- Create & manage systems for storage and location of all needed items
- Assist in procurement of clubhouse supplies including all beverages, paper goods, and maintenance supplies
- Reconciling and follow-up on bar sales, monitor cash access and are responsible for cash inventories, safe, etc.
- Oversee first class food and beverage operation
- Personally visible and accessible to guests
- Is aware at all times of what is happening throughout the entire operation
- Assist in Planning, Coordinating and executing training programs
- Monitors safety procedures
- Receives and resolves complaints from guests and personnel
- Participates in facility inspections to assure that cleanliness, safety, and other standards are consistently attained
- Assist in training of front of house staff
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in banquet preparations
- Possess a high level of standards and motivation for events and their success
- Willing to work days, nights, holidays and weekends
- Demonstrate excellent team leadership skills
- Possess good time management skills
- Passionate about details
- Understanding of inventory management
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment and compliance to all health department regulations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
