Position Overview :
As a Housekeeper at The Oaks , you will be responsible for ensuring that our facility is clean, safe, and inviting for residents, visitors, and staff. You will perform general housekeeping duties, maintain cleanliness in resident rooms and common areas, and support our overall commitment to a high standard of hygiene and safety.

Key Responsibilities :
Clean and sanitize resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and hallways.
Maintain cleanliness in dining rooms, kitchenettes, and staff areas.
Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in all areas of the facility.
Change bed linens and make beds for residents as needed.
Dispose of trash and waste in a timely and sanitary manner.
Ensure that cleaning supplies are properly stocked and maintained.
Follow all infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate staff.
Assist with laundry duties, including washing, folding, and distributing linens.
Ensure that all areas of the facility meet cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Qualifications :
Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred, but not required.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean environment.
Ability to follow cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
Compassionate, resident-focused attitude with a dedication to providing excellent service.
Ability to lift, carry, and move cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with residents and staff in a positive manner.
