The Purpose of Your Role
The Payor Relations Specialist plays a critical role in the growth of the organization. They will focus their efforts on three main categories.
- Credential facilities with Behavioral payers as our organization grows throughout the country. Reach out to network management managers at various payors and secure credentialing paperwork and to complete such paperwork in a timely basis.
- Establish rates with payers with annual rate increases
- Understand rates within the industry and in all states with all major payers
- Negotiate competitive rates based upon industry rates as well as TOATC best in class treatment outcomes.
- Ensure that rates are always increasing
- Establish and nurture relationships not only with network management leaders but also with Chief Medical Officers and C-suite executives
3. Credential a limited number of professionals with payors
- As needed, ensure key personnel are credentialed with payers not only within the state where we operate in, but surrounding states.
The Skills and Expertise You Have
- Supervisory requirements
- Proficient knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office programs, Google Suite etc.
- Accurate and efficient electronic data entry
- Must be punctual and maintain excellent attendance
- Organized, detail-oriented, takes the initiative, and completes job responsibilities independently
- Multitask, problem-solve, interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills
- Thrives in a changing work environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in a credentialing role with advancing responsibilities.
- Experience working in a fast-paced high-growth environment with the ability to work quickly, identify priorities, and manage tight deadline requirements.
