Job Summary
The Revenue Cycle Supervisor oversees and manages the day-to-day operations of the revenue cycle team, ensuring efficient claim processing, timely collections, and compliance with billing standards. This role is responsible for mentoring staff, streamlining processes, and delivering results that align with organizational goals. Roles & Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management:
- Supervise a team of revenue cycle specialists, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
- Monitor daily workflows to ensure claims, payments, and collections are processed efficiently.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, set goals, and address challenges.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance team performance and knowledge.
Revenue Cycle Operations:
- Oversee the full revenue cycle process, including claim submission, denial management, payment posting, and patient collections.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of Out-of-Network (OON) claims, appeals, and negotiations.
- Leverage payer portal (e.g., Availity,) for claims management and status updates.
- Review and approve adjustments, write-offs, and patient payment plans. Compliance and Reporting:
- Maintain compliance with healthcare billing regulations, including HIPAA, CPT, and ICD-10 standards.
- Track and analyze key revenue cycle metrics (e.g., denial rates, AR aging) to identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present performance reports to the Billing Manager and leadership team.
- Ensure all documentation and processes meet audit requirements and industry standards.
Process Improvement:
- Identify inefficiencies in revenue cycle workflows and recommend solutions.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement system enhancements and automation tools.
- Stay informed of industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring the team adapts as needed.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associates or Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing and revenue cycle management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in medical billing software and EHR systems (e.g., Lightning Steps, Imagine, ADS).
- In-depth knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 coding, payer guidelines, and OON claim processes.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power BI) and familiarity with Zendesk.
- Lighting Steps EMR experience Prefered
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay Range: $70,000 - $85,000 annually (commensurate with experience).

Work Schedule
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, with flexibility as needed.
