Position Overview
We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Resident Care Technicians (RCTs). In this vital role, you will be an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, providing compassionate care and support to our clients. Key Responsibilities
- Client Support & Monitoring: Serve as the eyes and ears of the facility, conducting interviews, assessments, and gathering relevant client information to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Detox & Recovery Assistance: Assist clients through the detoxification process and support their ongoing recovery journey, offering guidance, empathy, and encouragement.
- Program Implementation: Collaborate with other department staff to administer program curriculum, facilitate group presentations, and conduct workshops aimed at promoting treatment and rehabilitation.
- Client Intake & Orientation: Guide new clients through intake procedures, including completing paperwork, orienting them to facility rules, and assisting with daily activities.
- Medication Management: Under the supervision of a nurse, manage and dispense medications, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to protocols.
- Client Transport: Safely transport clients to appointments and service locations outside of the facility, providing support as needed during these outings.
- Crisis Intervention: Intervene in client situations and crises with professionalism and care, maintaining a calm and confident demeanor in challenging circumstances.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and confidential client records in the EHR/EMR software, documenting behavioral incidents, shift reports, and other relevant information.
- Continuous Learning & Development: Receive ongoing guidance and training from the Clinical Director and lead staff, with opportunities for professional growth within the division.
- Additional Duties: Perform other job-related tasks as assigned, including conducting drug testing and other responsibilities that support the overall mission of the center.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Previous experience in substance abuse treatment, healthcare, emergency management, or a related field is a plus.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with addiction treatment programs, substance abuse theory, crisis intervention techniques, and the ability to navigate challenging situations effectively.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to maintain detailed and confidential records. Proficiency in using computers and office equipment.
- Personal Attributes: A compassionate, level-headed, and professional demeanor, with the ability to maintain strong boundaries and exercise independent judgment in a fast-paced environment.
