We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Sterilization Technician to join our dental practice. Duties
- Perform cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of dental instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
- Adhere to infection control standards and practices to ensure patient safety.
- Assist in the organization and management of sterilization areas, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Utilize aseptic techniques during the preparation of instruments for procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment usage.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient workflow in the clinic.
- Stay updated on best practices in infection control, including HIPAA regulations.
- Support the dental team with four-handed dentistry techniques as needed.
Requirements
- Knowledge of dentistry practices and procedures.
- Familiarity with X-Ray technology and its application in dental settings.
- Understanding of infection control principles and aseptic techniques.
- Experience in dental assisting is preferred.
- Proficiency with 3D scanners and other relevant systems is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to patient care.
- Must comply with all health and safety regulations, including HIPAA compliance.
