Consultant Laboratory Compliance Officer

Scope of Position
The laboratory compliance officer, under the direction of Laboratory Compliance Director and Medical Director, is responsible for the monitoring and documentation of Proficiency Testing and other Accreditation Standards. The primary focus of this position is the coordination of the proficiency testing program. This position also serves as the Clinical Laboratories DEIB officer and plays an active role in Engagement and Coordination.
Position Summary
This compliance officer is responsible for the ordering and coordination of the proficiency testing program across the laboratory system. This includes tracking of specimen flow; maintaining record retention; grading and monitoring PT results and scores; tracking PT shipments and results due dates; coordinating the process and investigation and obtaining applicable signatures. This position serves as a key facilitator for DEIB initiatives across the university, medical center and laboratory system. This person will assist with tracking, education, increasing awareness for Diversity, leading by example. This person will also help facilities various engagement events and programs with the Clinical Labs.
Minimum Qualifications
For Hire: Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or biologic science required with Medical Technology certification and 5 years of clinical laboratory experience. Skilled in use of Excel, Power Point, Adobe PDF Maker and other PC based programs.
