Scope of Position
The Interventional Radiology division encompasses stationary IR equipment located in University Hospital and The James Cancer Hospital.
Position Summary
This position performs all duties of an Interventional Radiological Technologist, in addition to providing support to the operation of the department. The Lead provides all radiation quality assessment activities for the department, in addition to the maintenance of accreditation of the site, under the direction of the IR Manager. The lead will provide assistance in assessing Interventional Radiological Technologists’ performance for annual merit increases, as well as orienting new Imaging Technologists to the department. The Lead will be responsible for the accuracy of appropriate coding of procedures performed in the department. The Lead may cover additional IR Manager responsibilities, as necessary, in the Manager’s absence or should a vacancy occur. The Interventional Radiological Technologist performs invasive angiographic/cardiovascular/interventional imaging procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury. In addition, the position provides patient education and performs quality assessment activities for the division, under the direction of the Imaging Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiography Certification and Ohio Department of Health Radiology License. Advanced Certification in Angiography, Interventional or Vascular required. 0 years of relevant experience required. Previous experience preferred.
