Job Description
The Supply Chain Logistics Department is responsible for the order, receipt, storage, and distribution of Medical Center supplies, linens, and portable equipment throughout the Medical Center. The department is also responsible for maintaining Inventory Management Systems throughout the Medical Center. The department enforces sound materials management practices throughout the Medical Center. This position is managing the day to day operations and process optimization for the Supply Chain Logistics Department.
The Supervisor manages the Supply Chain Logistics staff and function for the Health System which includes managing the order, receipt, storage and distribution of supplies, linen and equipment. The position develops and maintains processes and workflows to ensure accurate and timely delivery of supplies and equipment to units throughout the Health System. The supervisor will manage various employees within Supply Chain Logistics including staff covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreements. This position is responsible for maintaining positive relationship with vendors, business unit staff, Procure to Pay, and Strategic Sourcing. This position is a working supervisor position that will fill in for customer service and frontline duties as needed and reports to the Manager of Supply Chain Logistics.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field and 3 years of supply chain management, inventory management or distribution experience including supervisory experience preferably in a healthcare setting.
