The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for developing and forecasting a budget that services over 15,000 patients in multiple Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC). This role reports directly to the FQHC CEO. This is a highly visible and high impact position that works to build models of care to serve at-risk populations across the State of Ohio.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing all operational aspects of Total Health and Wellness medical clinics, facilities, and patient-facing services;
- Developing and implementing the strategic objectives that promote operational efficiencies, enhance the profitability of the organization, and develop and support expansion opportunities;
- In partnership with CEO, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that are fully responsive to the needs of patients and their families;
- Acting as CEO in the event that the CEO is not available.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 7 years of relevant experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
12-15 years of relevant experience preferred. Demonstrated ability in university budget management with a clinical emphasis is desired. RN License preferred. The candidate must have a record of progressive leadership abilities, demonstrated oral and written communication skills, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Previous experience leading a Federally Qualified Health Center is highly desirable.
Ongoing Competencies
Competency in PC-based networks and related software (e.g., Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) is desirable. Evidence of organizational skills, interpersonal skills, decision-making skills, customer relations, written and verbal communications, effective problem solving, and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Must be able to establish and build relationships across a broad range of people and groups both within and outside the university. Demonstrate competence to meet performance expectations.
