Farm Manager-Columbus Equine

FAES | Animal Sciences
Manage all aspects of health, including breeding, nutrition and veterinary care for horses at the Don Scott equine facility. Assist with onboarding assistant manager; manage student employees and create student employee and intern schedules. Assign animals for teaching, research, and Extension activities. Schedule activities and events. Maintain records and contracts.
Additional Information
60%: Manages daily operations of the horse unit including horse health, breeding, nutrition, and record keeping. Assist with onboarding assistant manager.
30%: Provides leadership, supervision, and training for student employees and interns of the Equine Facility. Supervises student employees and interns. Creates student employee and intern schedules.
10%: Coordinates transportation of animals as needed. Maintains facilities and ensures facility is compliant with university animal use protocols.
The salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
